MBAC is hiring for summer

Instructors teaching at MBAC

Looking for a job opportunity starting this summer? Every year, MBAC hires 40+ employees, giving priority to current SDSU and UCSD students. Working at MBAC can be a fun and rewarding experience for individuals who are willing to work hard and be part of our dynamic team.
We are looking for applicants with watersports experience, working with kids, or have worked in a front office setting. Being an instructor at MBAC is the perfect place to share with others the passion you have for the activities you do.  So whether you have surfed for many years, driven a wakeboarding boat for most of your life, or have experience with kids and love to sail, there is a position that might suit you.  We are currently looking to hire Instructors, Youth Camp Counselors, and Office Assistants for the upcoming summer season.

To be an instructor you should have experience in one of the sports that we offer and a desire to share those skills with others in a welcoming and friendly environment.  It is helpful to have experience teaching others, and we are always looking for bilingual applicants.  In addition, some positions have additional requirements, such as Wakeboarding/Waterskiing Instructors who must have 100+ hours driving a boat and experience in coaching or teaching others, and obtaining a US Coast Guard Captain’s License during their training.

If you are looking for a summer job and have experience working with children and a background in watersports you should consider applying for a Youth Camp Counselor position. Throughout the course of the summer, you will be responsible for teaching kids how to safely have fun in and on the water.  Candidates must be willing to work with kids and must know how, or be willing to learn how to sail.

For those who may not have as much watersports experience, or would prefer a position in an office setting we are also hiring Office Assistants. These positions are year-round and available only to current SDSU and UCSD students. Office or administrative and customer service experience is required. Additionally, office assistants are encouaged to participate in MBAC classes which they receive free of charge.

If you are interested in becoming part of the MBAC team, visit www.mbaquaticcenter.com/jobs to apply for any of these positions.
